The Logistics and Documentation Specialist will have direct contact with brokers, buyers, shipping lines, service providers, and colleagues. Based in our ‘loft’ style Spokane office, just outside downtown, with plenty of free parking, this role will allow you to grow and develop your career.

Logistics and Documentation Specialist

  • The Logistics and Documentation Specialist will prepare various documents, including shipping instructions; bills of lading masters; certificate of origins; weight certificates; packing lists; which will include communicating with various governmental agencies – such as filing AES, and requesting Phyto-sanitary certificates, and other necessary documents to comply with export regulations, import requirements, and destination clearances.
  • Support the timely delivery of documents, which require accuracy and concise proof-reading, to successfully support delivery of goods to the export customer.
  • The specialist will monitor cargo from sale of product to discharge at destination, to ensure cargo meets contract requirements.
  • The Logistics and Documentation Specialist is knowledgeable about export administration regulations and must stay abreast of changes in export laws and regulations.
  • The Logistics and Documentation Specialist must be able to adjust to handle multiple tasks, involving fast changing business conditions, be results oriented, with a can-do attitude.
  • Organizational, planning, good geographical knowledge and an eye for details are essential.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Associate Degree (A.A.), College degree or a minimum of two years related export experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft office products.
  • Experience with tracking shipments to and from its destinations in several states as well as international advantageous.
  • Knowledge of export regulations, import requirements and destination clearances is desirable
  • Good data entry skills offering speed and accuracy will be desired.
  • Good Excel as well as general skills in MS Office Suite is required for this role.
