Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Finance Director to lead financial, management and statutory reporting in a timely and accurate manner, while adding value to the business through partnering with all stakeholders to deliver insightful financial planning and analysis (FP&A) data in line with strategic objectives. This role will be working for PT Volkopi Indonesia, Volcafe’s subsidiary, in Lampung, Indonesia.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and advise on financial and commercial decisions, consulting with the local General Manager, Regional Financial Controller for Asia and the Supply Chain Director.
- End to end ownership of the control environment for the full cycle of the business with a focus on the complete enterprise risk matrix of the organisation.
- Timely and accurate management and financial reporting in line with IFRS for the company.
- Responsibility for all external tax, compliance related and regulatory requirements and reporting.
- Prepare for and manage internal and external annual audits, maintaining a strong internal financial control environment.
- Ensure compliance with all internal financial and accounting policies and guidelines including authorisation matrixes.
- Ownership of all corporate reporting to group, as well as owning all historical organisation data related to management and financial reporting.
- Oversight of the company’s ERP systems and processes.
FP&A responsibilities:
- Qualitative review of monthly financials and providing detailed analysis to stakeholders.
- Tracking cycle time efficiencies and reporting on all key business value drivers with a thorough understanding of the business value drivers.
- Developing and maintaining financial projections, forecasts and sensitivity analysis including detailed models in line with commercial strategies.
- Ownership of all budgeting processes and month on month variance analysis with detailed commentary of performance to drive cost efficiencies and identify opportunities.
- Perform all ad-hoc research as may be needed by the stakeholders.
- Working capital tracking and reporting on optimal balance sheet optimization including tracking all financial covenants of the organisation.
Additional responsibilities:
- Drive finance transformation improving synergies within the team and enhancing collaboration with stakeholders in trade, commercial, operations, logistics, IT and corporate.
- Contribute to the bottom line through trade finance opportunities and manage relationships with lenders.
- Engage in people development tasks, including mentoring, performance management and oversight of local finance employees.
- Align departmental short-term goals for maximum impact on organization strategy.
- Capital investment appraisals and monitoring, project management and treasury management.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years finance experience, working within traded commodities is highly preferrable, manufacturing or FMCG focused industries also considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field is required, with an MBA being advantageous.
- Ability to speak English fluently is essential.
- Solid proficiency using MS-Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) would be beneficial.
- Recent progressive experience in a leadership position within a finance department.
- Hold professional finance qualifications such as CA / CPA or relevant equivalent with active membership.
- Experience with project management and IT implementations.
- Previous experience in an auditing firm is beneficial.
- Experience with financial modelling is advantageous.
- Good team player with ability to work independently and lead cross functional teams.
- High attention to detail and open minded with a quick learning curve.
- Ability to work with diverse cultures.
