Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as an Accountant to work in a truly global environment to supporting daily accounting operations, including data entry, transaction postings, reconciliations, and documentation related to commodity purchases, sales, and inventory movements. This role ensures that all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with internal policies and external regulations, providing essential support to Senior Accountants and Finance Manager and reporting to Finance Director. The role provides long term development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast-paced soft commodities environment.

This role will be working for PT Volkopi Indonesia (Lampung) Volcafe’s company in Indonesia.
Key Accountabilities
- Record daily financial transactions into the ERP system (purchase invoices, sales invoices, payment vouchers, etc.)
- Ensure correct GL account coding for commodity purchases, freight costs, warehousing fees, and other related expenses.
- Assist in uploading trade-related documentation (contracts, invoices, bills of lading) into the accounting system.
- Prepare vendor payment requests and ensure proper documentation (supplier invoices, GRNs, approvals).
- Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable collections in coordination with the Sales and Operations teams.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the Senior Accountant in recording inventory movements (goods received, goods issued, stock adjustments).
- Assist in reconciling physical stock counts with system balances.
- Ensure correct application of landed costs (freight, insurance, duties) into inventory valuation.
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Record petty cash transactions and ensure proper approvals and documentation.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents (hardcopy and electronic), including contracts, invoices, LCs, and supporting schedules.
- Support audit preparations by ensuring documents are easily traceable and accurate.
- Provide support in month-end closing activities, such as journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare preliminary schedules for review by Senior Accountant or Finance Manager
- Prepare basic data for tax reporting (VAT, PPh 21, PPh 23) under supervision.
- Ensure all tax invoices (Faktur Pajak) are received and correctly recorded.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree educated in accounting, finance or related fields.
- Obtained good initial exposure to working in an accounting setting, however fresh graduates with internships in accounting or finance are also welcomed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and wider Microsoft applications.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic understanding of commodity trade flows is a plus.
- Comfortable with document-heavy processes (import/export, invoices, contracts).
- Familiarity with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, or local ERP software is an advantage.
- Able to work well under supervision and eager to learn.
