Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as an IT Project Manager based out of Bangalore, India. This role is responsible for coordinating both business and technology project activities, ensuring timely update of project status, preparing and distributing reports to senior stakeholders. You will work with a team of project leaders and other coordinators, so good communication and collaboration skills are essential. You will report to the Coffee Global Technology Director and work with a truly global environment that provides developmental opportunities for the incumbent who is eager to demonstrate the skills and experience in a challenging and fast paced soft commodities environment.

Volcafe works across the whole green coffee supply chain to make coffee business better,together with our partners and employees. We have built and operate sustainable coffee supply chains across all our origins, addressing key economic, social and environmental issues in coffee farming communities. Our Volcafe Way farmer support programme engages with thousands of coffee farmers and provides a holistic response to the challenges they face.

Key Accountabilities

  • Creating and maintaining project library and plans, file, recording and reporting systems
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of multiple concurrent technology projects (both small-scale enhancements and large-scale implementations)
  • Maintaining project management methods, standards, and processes
  • Assisting and advising team members on procedures, disciplines and recording and reporting requirements
  • Tracking risk and issue logs and changing control data
  • Developing and maintaining effective project team communication systems
  • Developing and implementing procedures
  • Producing project summary reports and coordinating the preparation of all reports
  • Setting up and maintaining cost-recording systems
  • Defining and documenting methodology procedures
  • Assisting with other administrative responsibilities assigned
  • Act as the point of contact for all participants

Skills and Experience

  • 5 – 8 years of demonstrated experience in technology environments or IT-related project support project administration or management role
  • Prior experience leading projects in Microsoft Power Apps will be an advantage
  • Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Good understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Awareness of vendor management practices and third-party collaboration models
  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets
  • Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals
  • Thorough understanding of both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Good understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Through understanding of project prioritization
  • Solid understanding of project management fundamentals and lifecycle
  • Knowledge of project tracking tools is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Prioritization and organizational abilities with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience juggling multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating across diverse technical teams and external partners
