Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Senior Pricing Manager in our office in The Woodlands, Texas, responsible for leading and managing Westway’s pricing strategy across multiple regions and product lines. This role provides direct oversight of an agricultural and animal feed market setting, finished product pricing, pricing governance, scenario modelling and margin optimization, while ensuring disciplined execution, transparency and profitability across the company.

Business Overview

Westway Feed Products is North America’s largest manufacturer of liquid supplements for livestock. Additionally, we produce feed mill products, dried molasses and industrial products. The core concept of Westway’s business is to utilize co-products from other industries and convert them into safe, high-quality, cost effective, livestock feed supplements. While Westway’s primary ingredient for many of our products is molasses, we also incorporate other co-products. The concept of utilizing these co-products is the foundation of our sustainability platform. Today, Westway operates 22 production facilities across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Our geographic reach allows for products to be developed according to environmental and production system variations across the country.

We are part of ED&F Man Commodities, a world leading trader of agricultural products including coffee, sugar, molasses and animal feed.

This role will require up to 10% maximum travel.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Westway’s pricing strategy across all products and regions.
  • Establish and maintain relevant market pricing in coordination with merchandising, sourcing and commercial teams to support growth and profitability objectives.
  • Define pricing frameworks, governance processes and workflows to ensure consistency and discipline,
  • Ensure all direct and indirect costs including ingredients, freight, accessorial charges, manufacturing, overhead and working capital impacts are fully captured in pricing models.
  • Develop pricing tools and dashboards that provide visibility into margin performance and pricing execution.
  • Conduct advanced market research and competitor analysis to inform pricing decisions and market positioning, through historical sales, margin, ingredient volatility and customer behavior trends.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess pricing impacts on revenue, margin and portfolio mix.
  • Perform scenario planning and sensitivity analysis based on market movements, freight shifts and demand variability.
  • Evaluate contribution margin by product, plant, region and customer segment to guide commercial decision-making.
  • Lead product portfolio optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and rationalize low-margin offerings.
  • Support SKU rationalization and product strategy decisions with financial impact analysis.
  • Partner with operations, sales and finance to evaluate cost-to-serve and ensure appropriate margin thresholds are maintained.
  • Present pricing insights, margin analysis and risk scenarios to executive leadership.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning with pricing and margin analytics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing analytics, tools and reporting processes.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in pricing, formulation, merchandising or a related role within the feed, chemicals or agricultural sectors being preferred.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or economics; holding an MBA would be desirable.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including data interpretation, trend analysis, demand forecasting and competitive positioning.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze and integrate complex market data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience translating research and subsequent analysis into effective commercial and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent cross-functional stakeholder collaboration, communication and influencing skills to achieve results.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills, including variance analysis, ROI evaluation, risk assessment and scenario planning.
  • Solid proficiency in Excel is required, with experience using D365 highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategy, contribution margin, cost-to-serve and portfolio optimization principles.
  • Ability to balance growth objectives with disciplined margin management.
  • Strong decision-making skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
