Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Quality professional to join us as a Senior Data Quality Analyst. In this role, you will lead a project to improve and enrich counterparty data in the soft commodities business. You will take ownership of driving a comprehensive, counterparty data enrichment project, covering a significant number of records. Working closely with business stakeholders across multiple regions and departments to secure their engagement and input. Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the counterparty data quality improvement project, ensuring delivery within timelines and coordinating across teams and systems
  • Enrich large counterparty data sets through data cleansing, de-duplication, parsing, and categorization
  • Validate and verify data using external databases and screening tools
  • Write Transact – Structured Query Language(T-SQL) queries to analyse, transform, and validate data
  • Identify and fix data gaps or inconsistencies to improve data accuracy
  • Develop automated workflows for ongoing data validation and monitoring
  • Implement structured methods of data validation, categorization, and risk classification
  • Work closely with stakeholders in trading, operations, risk, compliance, and regional teams

Skills and Experience

  • Com/CA/CISA/CIA with 6-8 years of audit experience, ideally as an external and/or internal auditor within an international company (Big 4, banks, commodity trading, global FMCG or other multinational) or relevant industry experience (finance, compliance, commercial).
  • Knowledge of reviewing the controls over financial reporting, minimum controls audits covering business processes and CSA (control self-assessment) for corporate functions including IT, Risk, HR.
  • Should have prior internal audit exposure (including Big 4) is preferred.
  • IT background who can perform data crunching and technology auditing experience.
  • Experienced in risk management and design of business processes.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
  • The role is based out of Bangalore and requires periodic travel to various locations for onsite audit. Hence, the candidate should be open to travel as per business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

General Ledger and RTR:

  • Oversee RTR Processes: Lead the Record to Report team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions, from source data to financial statements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing RTR team. Conduct regular one-on-ones, provide feedback, and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Accurate and Timely Financial Reporting: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger, including month-end reconciliations and timely reporting.

Key Accountabilities

Bookkeeping:

  • Recording financial transactions: Keeping track of day-to-day financial transactions like sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Managing e-invoicing in/from the Italian Central exchange database: outgoing, incoming, for both Italian and foreign suppliers / customers
  • Managing VAT recording, both of incoming and outgoing invoices, between Italian, EU and extra-EU counterparties. Managing monthly VAT settlements and declarations
  • Updating ledgers: Posting transactions to appropriate accounts in the general ledger.
