This role will be working for Volcafe’s company in India.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create a separate file for each contract and check shipping periods of purchase contracts to make sure that full and correct shipping instructions will be given to our suppliers/agents.
  • Request follow-up of pre-shipment sample process, getting approvals on time.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules with suppliers/agents/buyers, checking pending shipments.
  • Deftly manage core shipping problems (delays, equipment shortage, etc.).
  • Check incoming shipping advices and enter all details into the system.
  • Create outgoing shipping advices and transmit them to buyers/agents.
  • Check incoming shipping documents on completeness and correctness.
  • Send copies of Bills of Lading to shipping agencies and ask for freight invoice.
  • Check and book incoming freight invoices.
  • Book purchase invoice and give payment instructions to Finance Department.
  • Issue invoice sale and covering letter and send documents to bank/buyer/agent for processing/payment.
  • Check and process incoming weight notes from buyers/forwarding agents, subject to terms and conditions of the European Coffee Contracts.
  • Issue final invoice for difference in weight (Debit- or Credit-Note).
  • Issue warehousing/sampling instructions for unsold shipments and send them to the warehouse housekeeper.
  • Check date of arrival/warehousing and update status of shipment in the system.

Skills and Experience

  • Effective and clear business communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Computer proficiency in MS office (intermediate Excel), ERP Systems experience across trade & logistics or sales & distribution.
  • At least 4-6 years in a contract management and logistics roles within in shipping, exports or the commodity industries.
  • Experienced in managing carriers/forwarders and international import/export documentation.
  • Experience of physical commodities business and ERP transactions is desirable.
  • Work experience from the European / Asian / African geography is preferred.

Role Overview

An essential role in ensuring the group’s adherence to compliance requirements and industry legislation regarding sanctions. Works with the business to process requests for due diligence on all new counterparties, intermediaries, and service providers (including vessels). This role demands knowledge of global sanctions regimes and experience in using due diligence software and screening tools to manage red flag alerts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct Due Diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC), including AML, checks for the onboarding of new counterparties, and refresh/ ongoing monitoring for pre-existing counterparties as part of the ED&F Man Group Sanctions & Due Diligence policy and procedures.
  • Perform screening by reviewing counterparty documentation, trade capture data, and external screening tools and validating the information obtained on the counterparty using a variety of independent research sources.
  • Perform data quality review of KYC requests for completeness, including ensuring all appropriate information is contained in the KYC to meet all regulatory, legal, bank and audit requirements.
  • Execute and review negative media alerts from client screening and escalate where necessary.
  • Understand sanctions risks and AML requirements, documentary red flags and approaches to mitigate risk during due diligence checks.
  • Perform additional due diligence on high-risk counterparties, or where a red flag has been raised.
  • Maintain detailed records on counterparties for second-level review, and internal audit/ external regulatory inspection.
  • Liaise with counterparties, Front Office, Credit, Legal and Operations as necessary as part of the KYC process.
  • Support process documentation exercise for all future regulatory changes and process improvements within the scope of KYC/ AML.
  • Prepare management information on number of counterparties screened, timeliness of screening, red flag rates, approval, and rejection rates for Head of Compliance.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of Sanctions and AML related regulations.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a due diligence/KYC role within commodities – physical trading preferably agricultural soft commodities although other commodities might be considered.
  • Experience of working with industry standard GRC software (such as Lexis Nexis, Refinitiv, Thomson Reuters) and screening tools (Dow Jones, Dun & Bradstreet, BvD) – BENEFICIAL
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in strategic analysis.

The internal auditor is responsible for playing a key role in completing company-wide internal audits covering global commodity operations in accordance with annual audit objectives, and holding opening and closing meetings with management, including providing all audit reports.   • Knowledge of reviewing the controls over financial reporting, minimum controls audits covering business processes and CSA (control self-assessment) for corporate functions including IT, Risk, HR.
  • Should have prior internal audit exposure (including Big 4) is preferred.
  • IT background who can perform data crunching and technology auditing experience.
  • Experienced in risk management and design of business processes.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
  • The role is based out of Bangalore and requires periodic travel to various locations for onsite audit. Hence, the candidate should be open to travel as per business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

The primary aim of this role is to handle all execution activities related to the EDF MAN’s Sugar business.

  1. Execute end to end transportation processes applying defined contractual terms to minimize risks of the execution.
  2. Liaise with suppliers and internal and external customers to plan and manage shipments according to contractual requirements.
  3. Manage sales contracts to ensure their clauses are fully understood and executable, ensuring legal and fiscal requirements.
