Role Overview

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced and tenacious Talent Acquisition Business Partner to work in a truly global environment to play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for our organisation, reporting to, and working closely with the global talent acquisition manager. You will manage end to end recruitment and search processes, ensuring quality hires, an efficient and effective in-house recruitment service that prioritises direct hiring, as well as a high-touch candidate and hiring manager experience. Key Accountabilities

  • Managing the full life cycle of recruitment and search processes for junior to mid- level positions across the business, from approval to recruit through to verbal offer acceptance.
  • Prioritizing a direct sourcing strategy, below average time to hire, quality of hire and high-touch, candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Utilizing various sourcing methods; LinkedIn, job boards, social media sharing, LinkedIn headhunting, employee referrals and internal advertising.
  • Creating compelling and attractive job adverts and advertising on all the key platforms available.
  • CV sifting, candidate screening, providing consistent, clear overviews of the business and the role, assessing candidates against the role, and hiring manager criteria, through to shortlisting for hiring manager assessment.
  • Managing and coordinating the hiring manager interview process ensuring interview best practice and coaching managers where needed.
  • Providing detailed constructive interview feedback, managing and negotiating offers.
  • Business partnering with and advising a diverse range of multi-disciplinary hiring managers and HR colleagues across our global business.
  • Research, build and maintain talent pipelines in key skills shortage areas as guided by the talent acquisition manager to support future hiring needs and where needed external succession planning, in line with the business strategy.
  • Partnering and engaging with carefully selected recruitment or search agencies where appropriate and approved by the talent acquisition manager.
  • Researching and co-creating content for the business social media pages to increase our followers and improve employer brand perception in the market.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate experience.
  • Talent acquisition project involvement and contribution across EDI, systems enhancements/implementations and employer brand building and as guided by the talent acquisition manager.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition/recruitment from a corporate in-house and/or agency environment.
  • Industry exposure from one or more of the following: FMCG, Financial Services and/or Commodity Trading.
  • Passion for talent acquisition and a commitment to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Good understanding of recruitment best practice across the whole recruitment process, including experience of critical candidate assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with hiring managers, HR business partners and candidates.

Key Accountabilities

  • FX deal execution using FXall – arrange spot, forward and swap trades, in line with the group treasury policy.
  • Bank account administration and maintenance.
  • Management of internal loans, documentation and related interest/fees.
  • Provide backup and support for corporate treasury activities such as;
    • Process payments using online banking systems.
    • Funding.
    • FX and debt settlements.

Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Head of Treasury Operations and Transformation to work in a truly global environment taking responsible for overseeing all aspects of treasury operations and change within the group, reporting to the Group Finance Director. This role requires substantial experience of implementing treasury related systems, processes and organisations, as well as a exceptional understanding of cash management, financial markets, liquidity management, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the company’s financial resources.

Key Accountabilities

Treasury Operations:

  • Lead treasury operations team and ensure smooth execution of daily treasury activities, including payments, and cash reconciliations.
  • Maintain banking platforms and treasury management systems (Kyriba, etc.) to support efficient treasury operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance controls and mitigate operational risks.
  • Review and approve treasury transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Implement appropriate controls and segregation of duties.

Risk Management:

  • Help identify assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and credit risk.
  • Monitor market developments and recommend adjustments to risk management strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, accounting, and legal departments, to ensure alignment of risk management practices with overall business objectives.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Stay informed about regulatory changes impacting treasury operations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare treasury-related reports, disclosures, and compliance filings for internal management and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits of treasury activities and controls.
  • Implement best practices in treasury operations and maintain documentation to support compliance efforts.

Treasury Transformation:

  • Lead or participate in treasury-related transformation projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or structure optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, automation, standardization and innovation in treasury operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools to enhance treasury capabilities and productivity.
  • Create/update target operating model to align global operations to strategic goals.
  • Build a team based on strengths and capabilities, providing support, mentoring and development across operations and systems.
  • Re-engineer processes and workflows reducing manual intervention with automation and increased technical functionality to reduce operational risk and provide more accurate management and day to day information.
  • Reduce costs by leveraging economies of scale and increased efficiencies.
  • Provide enhanced management information based on increased visibility of accurate liquidity and funding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and the business units to engender support for new initiatives.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent.
  • Qualified accountant or MBA or ACT preferred.
  • Proven and substantial experience in treasury operations, cash management, or corporate finance roles.
  • Deep understanding of financial instruments, banking products, and treasury systems and operations, as well as accounting understanding.
  • Substantial experience in middle or back-office operations area within a bank or an in-house treasury department.
  • Proven experience of working efficiently and accurately with high value payments (~$20m ~ $50m/week).
  • Experience working in an international environment with a variety of currencies.
  • Knowledge of structured commodity finance products including transactional bilateral, borrowing base and other asset backed structures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and driven; takes initiative to improve ways of working, governance, and assurance.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, wide range of experience in treasury management systems and banking platforms, Kyriba highly advantageous.

Role Overview

An essential role in ensuring the group’s adherence to compliance requirements and industry legislation regarding sanctions. Works with the business to process requests for due diligence on all new counterparties, intermediaries and service providers (including vessels). This role demands knowledge of global sanctions regimes and experience in using due diligence software and screening tools to manage red flag alerts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct Due Diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC), including AML, checks for the onboarding of new counterparties, and refresh/ ongoing monitoring for pre-existing counterparties as part of the ED&F Man Group Sanctions & Due Diligence policy and procedures.
  • Perform screening by reviewing counterparty documentation, trade capture data, and external screening tools and validating the information obtained on the counterparty using a variety of independent research sources.
  • Perform data quality review of KYC requests for completeness, including ensuring all appropriate information is contained in the KYC to meet all regulatory, legal, bank and audit requirements.
  • Execute and review negative media alerts from client screening and escalate where necessary.
  • Understand sanctions risks and AML requirements, documentary red flags and approaches to mitigate risk during due diligence checks.
  • Perform additional due diligence on high-risk counterparties, or where a red flag has been raised.
  • Maintain detailed records on counterparties for second-level review, and internal audit/ external regulatory inspection.
  • Liaise with counterparties, Front Office, Credit, Legal and Operations as necessary as part of the KYC process.
  • Support process documentation exercise for all future regulatory changes and process improvements within the scope of KYC/ AML.
  • Prepare management information on number of counterparties screened, timeliness of screening, red flag rates, approval, and rejection rates for Head of Compliance.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of Sanctions and AML related regulations.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a due diligence/KYC role within commodities – physical trading ESSENTIAL, preferably agricultural soft commodities although other commodities might be considered.
  • Experience of working with industry standard GRC software (such as Lexis Nexis, Refinitiv, Thomson Reuters) and screening tools (Dow Jones, Dun & Bradstreet, BvD) – ADVANTAGEOUS
  • Experience in a commodities or physical trading environment would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Group Treasury Accountant to prepare financial reports, through diligent adherence to comprehensive processes that provide absolute assurance and integrity of outputs. The role is accountable for the initial preparation and provision of information in Kyriba, including journals, accounting notes and associated audit-trail records for the Group’s Treasury entities. Presentation of these to the Group Treasury Operations Manager which are then sent for onward approval and submission to management, shareholders and lenders, as well as for statutory reporting, and internal and external auditors. The Group Treasury Accountant is core to the Group’s financial reporting through the accurate and on-time preparation of information for management and statutory reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ownership and processing of all treasury accounting postings for the relevant MTM entities in Kyriba. Postings from deal capture in TMS through to trial balance postings.
  • Accounting postings for all derivative transactions including FX.
  • Preparation and first review of debt, debt transaction costs and interest postings/ calculations.
  • Accuracy and integrity of prepared accounts, through completion of “first line” reviews and validations.
  • Compliance with the formally defined process for the annotation, recording and approval of all manual adjustments, to ensure a transparent and independently verifiable audit trail.
  • Preparation of notes and associated first reviews, to ensure accuracy and clarity of explanation, an audit trail and the prevention of errors and misstatements.
  • Preparation of all accounts and other information required for statutory compliance for treasury consolidation entities.
  • Provision of commentary, analysis and insights for treasury consolidation entity P&L and balance Sheet line items each month, quarter and year end.
  • Continually improve treasury accounting processes and further development of TMS automation. Identification and enhancement to consolidation processes as well as any reporting improvements for efficiencies.
  • Application of accounting policies and control processes, to ensure the integrity of consolidation accounts. Undertake control reporting to ensure accuracy of interfaced data between systems including reconciliations.
  • Compliance with a standard set of definitions for the Group’s Chart of Accounts, to align inputs and outputs and eliminate the need for manual adjustments driven by different definitions and compositions.
  • Work in collaboration with the Finance team to provide timely support, analysis and reconciliation over month end reporting timelines.
  • Lead or contribute to accounting projects related to treasury processes and reporting.
  • Contribution to a high-performance, collaborative team culture within the Treasury function, and company more generally, to deliver the processes, thoroughness and depth of checks and tests for effective consolidation accounting, and an inclusive environment for our people leading to confidence, growth, retention, and reputation.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of financial reporting within a global treasury function.
  • Proficient in Treasury Management Systems (ideally Kyriba).
  • Qualified Accountant – ACCA / ICAEW (ACA) / CIMA.
  • Association of Corporate Treasurers qualifications an advantage.
  • Competent knowledge of technical accounting relating to treasury activity, treasury instruments and IFRS implications.
  • Competent knowledge of complex inter-company transactions across various entities and consolidation treatments.
  • Competent knowledge of end-to-end treasury accounting processes across systems and key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems (ideally Hyperion).
  • Knowledge of commodity futures, swaps and margin calls.

This role requires strong experience of payroll together with an understanding of the day to day running of benefit products. Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the UK Payroll & Benefits Manager to assist with the smooth running of the UK monthly payroll in accordance with the agreed processes and deadlines.
  • Assist in the processing of the full payroll lifecycle of UK employees (including leaver, joiner and transfer processes).
  • Assist the UK Payroll & Benefits Manager with all tax year end reporting – including P60s/ P11D/PSA and all other statutory requirements.
  • Monitor incoming emails/queries to the payroll department and manage the departmental inbox within the agreed turnaround times.
  • Deal with and resolve payroll and benefit queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the administration of the UK employee benefit schemes, including:
    • UK flexible benefit administration, assisting with the monthly process for handling joiners, transfers and leavers and the annual renewal.
    • Serve as primary contact for benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators.
    • Assist with administration for the UK pension arrangement including assistance with collation of papers for the UK Pension Monitoring Committee (relevant training will be provided).
    • Assist with the maintenance and cleansing of benefit information to ensure that data held in the HR system for UK benefits is accurate.
    • Assist with the annual renewal of benefits with the various benefit providers.
    • Assist with the provision of benefit related information and guidance to employees.
    • Research employee benefits and vendors to identify those that present the best offering for employees and the Company.
    • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
  • Assist with the processing of invoices in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work closely with the HR Operations team in London to facilitate the smooth running of HR processes relating to UK Payroll and Benefits.
  • Proactively share specialist payroll and benefit knowledge to the wider HR team and collaborate on projects that are linked to UK Payroll and Benefits.
  • Maintain high quality processes and identify opportunities for process and or efficiency improvements, where applicable.
  • General assistance to the HR Reward team on ah-hoc queries and provide support during the annual reward review cycles.

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience supporting payroll and/or employee benefits would be beneficial.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn systems supporting payroll, employee benefits and human resources.
  • Strong operational knowledge of UK payroll and related benefit policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
