Key Accountabilities

  • Consolidate and process monthly Insurance declarations for the Group

Role Overview

An essential role in ensuring the group’s adherence to compliance requirements and industry legislation regarding sanctions. Works with the business to process requests for due diligence on all new counterparties, intermediaries and service providers (including vessels). We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Group Treasury Accountant to prepare financial reports, through diligent adherence to comprehensive processes that provide absolute assurance and integrity of outputs. The role is accountable for the initial preparation and provision of information in Kyriba, including journals, accounting notes and associated audit-trail records for the Group’s Treasury entities. Presentation of these to the Group Treasury Operations Manager which are then sent for onward approval and submission to management, shareholders and lenders, as well as for statutory reporting, and internal and external auditors. The Group Treasury Accountant is core to the Group’s financial reporting through the accurate and on-time preparation of information for management and statutory reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the UK Payroll & Benefits Manager to assist with the smooth running of the UK monthly payroll in accordance with the agreed processes and deadlines.
  • Assist in the processing of the full payroll lifecycle of UK employees (including leaver, joiner and transfer processes).
  • Assist the UK Payroll & Benefits Manager with all tax year end reporting – including P60s/ P11D/PSA and all other statutory requirements.
  • Monitor incoming emails/queries to the payroll department and manage the departmental inbox within the agreed turnaround times.

  • Assist with the administration of the UK employee benefit schemes, including:

    • Serve as primary contact for benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators.
    • Assist with administration for the UK pension arrangement including assistance with collation of papers for the UK Pension Monitoring Committee (relevant training will be provided).
    • Assist with the maintenance and cleansing of benefit information to ensure that data held in the HR system for UK benefits is accurate.
    • Assist with the annual renewal of benefits with the various benefit providers.
    • Assist with the provision of benefit related information and guidance to employees.
    • Research employee benefits and vendors to identify those that present the best offering for employees and the Company.
    • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
  • Assist with the processing of invoices in accordance with company procedures.
