Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a MENA Trade Support Analyst to work in a truly global environment to support our trading and finance teams to streamline operations and mitigate risks. Reporting to the MENA Trader, the role provides long term development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast-paced soft commodities environment.

This role will be working from our Volcafe office based in Madrid.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide comprehensive logistics support, primarily focused on outbound operations, with occasional coverage of inbound logistics during BNG team absences.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of trade documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Handle physical collection of trade documents and actively follow up on payment settlements.
  • Coordinate with banking institutions to address urgent matters and fulfill documentation or transactional requirements.
  • Proactively mitigate risks associated with delayed or inaccurate documentary collections.
  • Maintain and update the MENA Daily Position report to reflect key issues and time-sensitive developments.
  • Continuously optimize logistics processes, including selecting cost-effective shipping solutions to enhance profit margins.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly reports comparing budgeted freight costs with actual expenditures.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through a proactive, service-oriented approach, incorporating both regular check-in calls and written communication.
  • Support trading teams by managing operational tasks, allowing traders to focus on strategic growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with finance and trading teams to provide assistance across various business needs.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree educated with a preference for a specialism in Logistics or Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration or related field.
  • Fluent written and verbal French and English, with Arabic being desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade documentation and Incoterms alongside proficient in freight cost analysis.
  • Solid understanding of export/import procedures, compliance requirements and customs regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications with a priority on Excel, with trade documentation software an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document handling and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Exceptional time management.
  • Strong ability to work independent and part of a wider team.
